Nothing is more important than your family's wellbeing. Hugel Law Office is a law firm providing primarily family law services but also related legal services for families including Real Estate, Wills and Powers of Attorney for Property and Personal Care. We serve clients in Mississauga and Brampton as well as Toronto, Newmarket, Oakville, Milton and Hamilton, Ontario.

Divorce & Separation

The end of a relationship is never easy, but we try to make your separation as painless as possible. Our lawyer is compassionate and caring, and we tailor our services to your specific situation. We begin with an interview to ensure we have a complete understanding of your needs. Then we guide you through the legal process most appropriate for your family’s situation, whether it is negotiating a separation agreement, mediation of your issues or applying to court, for which we would walk you through the litigation process, draft your court documents and represent you at all court appearances.  Our scope of practice includes:

Divorce | Separation | Matrimonial Law | Child Custody | Child Access | Child Support | Spousal Support | Equalization of Family Property | Child Protection & Children's Aid Society Cases

Child Protection & Children's Aid Society Cases

In child protection cases, the rights of parents sometimes get ignored. We help parents involved with the Children's Aid Society negotiate a Voluntary Services or Temporary Care Agreement and if a child protection proceeding is commenced, we will represent you and prepare you and the documents required for your court appearances including your first appearance, temporary care and custody hearing, settlement conferences, status review hearing and trial, if necessary. Whatever your situation, we make sure your voice is heard and your rights are protected.

Real Estate

Your home is likely the biggest investment you will ever make. We will review your Agreement of Purchase and Sale, ensure your title is clear, prepare the necessary requisitions, execute the mortgage arrangements and handle all aspects of your home purchase or sale through to closing.

Wills & Powers of Attorney

Make sure you plan ahead for what will happen to you and/or your property in the event of your illness, incapacity or death so that your loved ones are not left with the problems, legal and otherwise, in sorting it all out at such a difficult time for your family. We help you with the issues involved in creating powers of attorney for property and personal care, revising an existing will or creating a new one. We can help you plan your property distribution, choose an appropriate estate trustee, change existing estate trustees or beneficiaries and more.
